Option 1

Depending on the variant, either the first one or two digits represents the year of manufacture. The following two digits represent the week of manufacture.

Variant 1: The year is represented by a single digit.

The first three characters are used. The first letter represents the year (C = 1988). The second and third characters represent the week of manufacture.

Option 3

The first character of the serial number represents the manufacturing plant. The second and third characters represent the year (96 = 1996). The fourth character represents the month (E = May).

The final three characters represent the year and week of manufacture. The first of the three characters is the year (N = 1982). The following two characters (24) represents the 24th week.
